Rubber Trim Replacement Guide?

Is there a write up out there that guides through how to replace all the rubber trims (around doors, targas, etc)?

Including what products to use to best remove and then set the new ones in place?

I've tried searching but can't seem to find one.

My Zed leaks quite a bit, mostly from the door windows/targas but I've got replacement rubbers all around so wanted to know if it's a job I can do to a good standard of if it's better to leave it with a professional to do.

Thanks

I think the FSM has a section on trim removal and replacement...

also Jeff has a number of posts (recently referenced to) about using sealant to secure them after a respray (i.e. removal and refit)

try a search on leak or door or targa

Actually found Jeff's thread soon after posting that....sod's law!

I guess it might be better to try this sort of work in warmer weather as I've read that the sealant doesn't bond as easily/well in cold temperatures?

im confused ive now had a compleate respray so i took of all trim and then replaced it without sticking it down or glueing it and no leaks. i think people stretche it to much in the wromg place then have two much . it takes time and persaverance spelled wrong to get it right .

Vig, its a DIY job with some patience and some black sealant. I will gladly give you a hand anytime and fit your slam panel covers if you can stomach the drive. The Targa panels are the fiddly bits, but if you tackle those first you will see where the hidden tappers are and possibly cure your leak first.

Let me know if you need anymore guidence mate or want a hand.
