Is it just a case of getting a kwick-fit type place to source some or do these need to be special order and custom made?

Finally got an exhaust then?

Your local half decent garage will have a pile of various gaskets of various shapes and sizes. Just pop in and ask them if they have the ones you want.

Some exhaust sealing paste is always a useful addition too. Holts Assembly Paste is what I use.

Yeah I did, I was guna do a grand unveiling when it was finished and fitted but i'm gunna need some advice along the way as per.

I was gunna put paste on either side of the gasket too, my existing one is only held together with paste.

If I remember they are the same size as subaru??

My local motor factors had some....

Took in the pipes and old gaskets and the knowledgeable staff there looked and went straight to the correct bins.....

They usually keep a vast array at quick fit ...... just need a sympathetic fitter.... not one that will charge you a fortune.....

I paid about £12 for full set....... guessing it went in the drinks fund......as no receipt......lol

are the 3 hole ones common too? The system is 3" but i'm assuming my decat's are still 2.5"

Take measurements of the inside diameter and the distance between the centres of the bolt holes and compare on ebay items or ask your exhaust shop for those sizes

Think i'm guna pop the center pipe into motor factors tomorrow and see if they have any in, if not then yeah it'll be an eBay job. Cheers though guys your all stars.

And Dave seen as though you asked

There will be plenty of vids, all in good time.

I went round all my local motor factors today, and all my local exhaust places, and none of them could help me. they thought it was from a commercial vehicle. So I thought I'd nip into work again on my day off and have a word with some of the fitters. They gave me a few 3" pipe gaskets, and with a punch I managed to put the bolt holes in, only problem is they're full round, so I need to chop the excess off. i'll mark them out at home and then hopefully chop the excess off at work. I also managed to get a bag of 10mm nuts and bolts, with washers and spring washers, was gunna double nut them too just to be safe.

And as I was leaving my boss said I should try a place called klingers, it's fairly local and it's where work goes if they want any custom gaskets. So I popped down after, told them who I worked for and showed them the center pipe, the blokes gunna order me some material in I just need to nip back during my dinner one day this week and he'll cut some out with the cnc machine for me. Not sure if he thinks it's for work or not or if he's expecting any money, but i'll find out later on in the week.

The question is though my front pipes will be 2.5" and the center pipes are 3" although the flanges meet and the bolt holes line up, i'm still a little unsure which would be better to get the gasket cut to fit, the 2.5" or the 3", there's pro's and con's for both :confused1:
