I've never really had any problems with eBay or things (apparently) not being delivered.

I have just literally had someone open a case over some 300zx lap belts that apparently didn't arrive.

I know the royal mail are pretty useless but to open a case over a month and a half after they were posted screams fraud to me!

As they were sent without a tracking number, there is nothing I can do about it except give this gypsy a refund!

So just a warning to any one else selling anything on ebay, don't post anything to eBay user marek_gruby without a tracking number.

As much as that sucks mate, I would say as a seller you have learned a lesson.

It doesn't have to cost you anything to post with a tracking number as you simply pass the postage cost onto the buyer. That way you are protected.

Usually I do only send via tracked couriers but as it was so small and light I thought I'd use royal mail for a change.

Lesson learnt!

F**k royal mail off altogether and always send with a courier!

Been there and done that. sent birthday cards recorded and tracked only for them never to be seen again. When it comes to claiming, they make it so difficult and drawn out that its hardly worth the time and effort.

thats why i ALWAYS send recorded delivery no matter what it is even when i send items as a free gift i send recorded, because i trust no one...

Sorry to hear that mate....

....And whilst we can all say "lesson learned" and all that - the buyer still took a month and a half to cry non-receipt. If you can demonstrate that there was no communication from the buyer in that time, then I'd certainly be taking the issue up with Ebay. If I bought something and it didn't arrive after a week, then I'd be in regular contact with the seller until it did arrive - or until the seller sent another one.

If he said nothing for 6-odd weeks, then take the chance and fight back. These fraudsters should not get away with it IMO:mad:

Good luck buddy,

Richard:clover:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Yeah what Richard said, fight it all the way don't just bend over. He's only trying it on so make it as hard as you can for him. Still got his address lol?

happened to myself a couple of times, worst thing is they were only worth about a tenner. i had no tracking with these as they were small and posted first class. surely if someones that desperate for cash they should surely give there zed to someone who can look after it. weird thing is i've never lost anything with a tracking on it

Bad luck mate - I don't think there is anything you can do though, complaining to eBay or not... PayPal has strict policy to ensure buyers are protected and it work very well to protect against fraudulent sellers, but equally relies on the seller using tracked postage for them to not be ripped off.

I used to run a small eBay shop posting around 20 items a day and would get at least a couple per week saying the items went missing. I can't believe there are that many theif buyers, but can believe there are gaps in the Royal Mail which will lose parcels all the time.

As frustrating as it is I think you will have to trustable buyer, and just never post non recorded unless you are willing to take that risk.

Best regards, William
