I always find admiral and elephant have by far the cheapest quotes, although I think its a max of 5 mods, and paying monthly can double the price nearly

Steer clear of Sky Insurance!

Clearly you have had some kind of issue with them.

I was with Sky for 4 years, including one claim, and I can't fault them in the slightest.

OP - I'm with Livingstones Warman (they're a broker). They insure all 3 cars in my household, and I have yet to find anyone who can beat them.

But as with many things, there are so many variables with insurance, that 2 people who live next door to each other could get massively different results.

Just do some homework, and try all the brokers (Livingstones Warman, Sky, AF, A-Plan, Prestige, Chris Knott...and any others you can find), and try all the comparison sites too.

Just remember the cheapest bottom price, isn't always the best deal.

Zed #2: 1998 Midnight Purple 2+2 NA. (owned 2020 - now)

Zed #1: 1995 Blue Slicktop NA (2013-2015)

Agreed. I just got off the phone with them trying to resolve my issue so a little raw from that is all...

Can never really call it with insurance though.

I was with Elephant previously for 8yrs and they didn't put a foot wrong but didn't offer agreed valuation or parts cover.

That is true, as Im 22 I cant get classic car insurance, im pretty sure if you are over 25 classic car insurance can cost just a couple of hundred a year?

How many years you had the car alfie?

A list of mods on these threads would be good as well to put it in perspective. depending on mods a lot of companies on here wont touch you..

Ill help as well,

engine internal, tubs, injectors, boost controller and remap, bodkit, wheels and spoiler

£400 from SKY, AF were also competitive.

40 with 18 years ncd, 3000 miles

as soon as you mention engine, turbos and 500bhp most companies switch off...

If you have another car already insured, Flux will give you classic car quote, limited mileage, couple of hundred quid even with no no-claims.

it all depends on your mods though, your age etc.. I have 3 cars thats why without details these threads dont mean much...

Flux are one of the few companies who will insure most engine mods....
