I am currently putting back the instrument cluster and there are 2 wires that come up and attach to the back of the panel, on my car it has a kph/mph converter box.

 

Question is , where do these 2 wires screw on to. i remember they go onto already existing screw heads, but which ones,

Was going to say that there are two screws at the bottom of the cluster that provide power and earth, can't remember which ones they are though as I've not used them. Not much help I know :blush:

You refer to the early series clocks where these two screws are 'lights on' connections.

 

Later series clocks like mine the two screws are in a different place but still centralish.

You're right mate, it was that I was thinking of.. I'm getting old...lol

Okay, sorry about that, panic over so i can relax and tell you. you know i said there was a kph/mph converter box on it, well on the back was a sticker saying which wire was pos and neg, so it was just a case of finding the pos/neg on the speedo wire lanes, i think that was it, as i didn't actually do it but someone else who was rebuilding the interior for me. thinking back, to my old TT zed, there were 2 central wire that seemed to attach to the 2 screw heads round the corner from the back panel, dont know if that makes any sense or not....
