performace upgrade to 500bhp

Featured Replies

speak to Silverline, Noz or Jimmer... and you'll need a new clutch....

i doubt if you'll do it cheaper than that but I would't bet if from the US (well not that way) in case you get stung for VAT...

the other issue is how long a standard Zed engine will last with that much power... I went for forged internals.

don't turn yours into a money pit Zed like mine.. LOL..

so far the car has cat back system cone air filter intake boost turned up to 14. to 15 psi chip ,whats the best move now from here

I'm certainly no expert on upgrading...

I'd say, intercoolers, slight increase on injectors, ecb and get it re-mapped... that should be plenty of power.

you really don't need 500 for the Zed to be impressive.

i guess the main point is just how much do you want to pay... and make it the best you can for that money without killing it... LOL...

chasing BHP is only going to end in tears and you'll never be satisfied.. :)

am going to do intercoolers next, so to run say 17psi i would need better turbos

I purchased all those items bit by bit over a 6 month period and plonked them all on the shelf, my GSP600 turbos were £600, stage 3 clutch was £250, 600cc injectors were £250, all these were new, I also had 2nd hand Pace smic's and these were £160.00.

Noz will do your bespoke chip/remap for roughly £250.

Boost controller I already had, along with the downpipes although I did buy stainless manifolds.

I don't have the Z1 decal though which adds another 20 BHP !!

The Z1 price is not a bad one but there will be massive shipping and import tax on top with some scratting about you could easy knock off 6, 7, 8 hundred GBP.

I have 504 RWHP BTW on stock internals which are more robust than people think and well you can imagine the thrill.

those prices are very cheap and you say all new to wow am running auto an the mo i take it i would need to go manual to run that power .i bet its feels fantastic

All bought from ebay and mainly from the USA, all can still be bought today if you look, cheap parts many would say but you cannot argue with my figures and I wouldn't do much different if I had to do it all again.

For instance

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-640cc-Fuel-injectors-Nissan-Skyline-RB25DET-300zx-VG30DETT-Z32-Side-feed-/190890164962?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c71f0c2e2

And

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XTD-STAGE-3-PADDLE-CLUTCH-PRO-LITE-FLYWHEEL-90-96-300ZX-TWIN-TURBO-VG30DETT-/111160269710?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19e1ab1b8e

And yes your turbos will need upgrading if you want to push towards 20psi for sure, but you need supporting mods and a good strong engine.

Yours is a super super clean UK...its worth more as it is. Iff you want cheap big power then buy another which has some other blind fool spend money on it which you never get back:no:
