OMG, started it today, 20min fitness test was the order of the day, i haven't exorcized in a while and thought it was time to do something about the extra pounds, I tend to float between 12 stone and 15 stone, never getting any lighter and never getting any bigger, always between 12 and 15, i have good legs already, but i have a spare tire i wanted to get rid of. its been doing my head in for a while and as im now almost 3 months with out a single real ciggy, eating healthier i thought id give the insanity program a go.

 

Well what can i say, im now aching in area's i didn't know existed. I pushed as hard as i could, just like he says in the DVD's, hopefully my fitness levels will return, but going to stick with it for the 60 days, if it works ill post some before and after photos.

 

Just need to get over the mental block and carrying on with it each day, its nice to have someone on the DVD encouraging you though as i do not have a fitness buddy here.

 

Ill up date this thread with my progress, might encourage more to take up the challenge lol

Im going to be doing this at JAE mate, going to have everyone in stitches watching me fail miserably infront of them and collapsing on the floor, and that's just from putting the DVD on.

 

Come to think of it, i might just head home for 45 mins and then head back so no one can witness it lol

i thought the same about doing the fitness thing a few times before doing the workouts, but you can injure yourself by trying to do the fit test too much, its also a very good reward doing the fit test after doing the dvds and doing it correctly as it will be easier to do and you will manage more reps

 

its very hard work doing it yourself, always best if you can get someone to do it woth you and get into a routine, maybe one night go to their house then one night yours, breaks the monotonmy (spelling lol)

 

get yourself some running shoes aswell, a 15min run can be just as effective

 

they reckon doing excersises in the morning is best as it gets you metabolism going and as the winter is coming it will help you lose weight as you burn calories keeping warm, have a glass of ice cold water in the morns aswell, your body cools and also burns calories trying to heat up, drink it before having breakfast so your body isnt getting heat from food

 

ive lost 2 stone and its took me 8 months to do it properly, it isnt an ivernight fix but done properly you will reap the benefits and fell greta doing so, i also monitor my weight daily knowing if i put on any pounds and alter diet or excercise accordingly

good work mate keep it up! other than a regular walk and a weekly body pump session at the gym i get little other exercise, although i'm currently increasing my exercise for a spartan 5k at the end of this month.

Hi EvoluZion3, I stupidly agreed to do a spartan race next year with a mate of mine who did one last year...... I was very drunk and am now regretting it...... I think I need to do insanity to get fit now...... or hide for a year or 2......lol

Good luck doing the race and keep your head down in the ice pool with electric wire just above your head with thousands of volts going through them..... It hurts like bugger apparently.....lol

well done m8, but just be careful as alot of guys that do phiz alot get injured doing insanity blow outs, just take it easy and you will be fine. i have a copy if anyone wants one.

I would love a copy if poss please mate :) seen it on tv and was going to get it but money is really tight at the moment.

don't worry mate it's not that bad - I did my first one this time last year and thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm by no means super-fit, and at the time I felt quite put off by some people on the internet saying you need to be able to do at least a half marathon to complete it. At the end of the day there's no time limit, all you need to do is put one foot in front of the other until you reach the finishing line. If anything work on your upper body strength; covering the run/jog/walk distances you can do at your own pace, but when faced with an obstacle to carry/lift/climb over having a bit of oomph will help you out. At the end of the day it is tremendous fun and a positive challenge, and there was a great atmosphere in the air all day. Go for it! :thumbup:

Well..... I weighed myself the other day only to find I've gone up to 15 stone! (Usually fluctuate around the 13 -13 1/2), so thought to myself its about time I gave it a go.

F@#k me sideways...... I must be so unfit cause it absolutely ruined me!

M8 think im gonna have to join you, done no exercise since November i have crept up2 17 stone now 108.3 kilos i wondered why my size 34 jeans wern't fitting me properly lol.

I'm going on a bit of a health kick recently, and am just fed up of being constantly lazy and tired.

Started by giving up the fags( not gays.... Still love a bit of bumming :lol:) swapping my snacks for nuts/seeds/veg, tried using my bike for work (until i broke it within a day), joining the gym and now insanity.

I have been trying to get into shape for a couple months and eating healthier is doing its part, but ive got a set of love handles the entire female Olympic hockey team could hold onto :(

Only ask as I have done it for 2 days so far and hurt/ache everywhere :lol:, do you not get a break to rest up and heal?

They should have called it the satanic torture workout!

fook that!! sounds like hard work to me. I'd probably collapse and shit my skeleton out within 5 minutes..:lol::lol:

 

I'm with you lol I bought the Josie Gibson workout DVD done it once nearly killed over so now its a resting pad for the ps4 controller lol

yeah, its do it with caution, its supposed to be done at least once a week each exercise then move on to next over a 30 day period. but go to the exercise b4 and use as a warm up then go onto the days exercise, it will hurt its no meant to be comfy lol. you can do any day as a rest day but keep it consistent as same day.

go running, this is a pic of my size 36 jeans that just over a year ago i had to fasten with a belt and could barely fasten the top button, insanity is good but running is amazing, i love it
