Has anyone tried this new "colonic irrigation" fuel system flush, as seen on Wheeler Dealers, and now advertised by Ed?

What's your verdict?

...and while we're on that topic, I'm sure I watched one where Ed was promoting some stuff that replaces water in the rads?? Not sure about that one, personally...

Still waiting to see Ed get his head 'round a Z though...

Haha I'm watching that as we speak! I was thinking of asking the same thing. Was amazed at the results!

try this thread for a discussion.

I have used Terraclean and another product with varying results. I also met Ed China and the owner of the UK Franchise at Goodwood and discussed the prospect of a discount for Club Members, which he was very receptive too, so may be taking this further in due course.

It's something I would like to get done on both my zed and my daily driver.

SteveE, that would be brilliant if you could sort that. Have a word with Groover about it mate.

On the waterless coolant question have a butchers at these two threads

http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?167958-waterless-engine-coolant&highlight=waterless+coolant

http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?170378-waterless-coolant&highlight=waterless+coolant

The theory is that because the boiling point of the fluid is higher it eliminates the steam that forms when the heat from the engine metal transfers to the coolant ie the coolant boils producing a tiny barrier of gas between the metal and the coolant that essentially adds an insulating layer between the two, thus lowering the efficiency of heat transfer from metal to liquid.

The new fluid eliminates this barrier thus allowing a more efficient heat transfer from one to the other ie gets the heat away from the metal into the coolant faster.

Also because there's no water, there's no corrosion either so that has to be good & apparently there are racing teams out there using it so that's got to be good too.

The science sounds good and plausible enough for me to give it a try so Im going to buy some when I take the car off the road for winter and give it a go.

Thanks for the heads up, Guys. SteveE, did u ask Ed when he's gonna do up a Zed? lol.

A terraclean sounds like a less painful option for a stock Z,especially if u don't wanna be taking bits off if u don't have to, and i'm still 50/50 on the waterless coolant after reading the related thread links courtesy of Iangreenfield for us newbies

SteveE, no pressure, mate :thumbup1:
