iv just got back from picking up a kango from someone at work in the field next door see this Lotus Elan S3 in yellow asked how does that belong too he came out his wife it needs loads of work and its the car lotus used in there mags and she wont sell it to me and its a shame its just sitting there falling apart

Does my head in, when you see great Classics rotting away...Lotus were always my favorite sports manufacturer until the corporates got hold of the brand! It's hard to get a decent project classic that's not got a silly price tag attached.!

No, but the backbone chassis would, along with the already dodgy electrics, wood facia etc. the Fibreglass would crack and break down.

The fact is the Elan was a ground breaking sports car, which became the template for the worlds most successful sports car 20 years later... the MX5, no Lotus in their day was particuarly fast, just unbeatable! in the handling stakes, unless you had four times the money to spend on a sports car!

the wood shot and the seats and centre panel are all damaged its sat there for years under a tree but it looks all there cant believe it when I take the kango back ill get some photos
