From what Ive seen your get for stupid reasons, the more friends you have the more rep you get.

 

I personally think its very misleading for somebody knew to the forum who thinks that they may be getting better advice from someone because they have more green stripes etc...

 

Id like to see something also very specific to traders on here, bit like ebay so you can get a good feeling about who you are trading with.

its only hen you have an issue all the dirt pours out about non replies, slow delivery, naf product etc.. - Should I start a new thread for a debate on this point?

I think the rep is a good.thing, its not just for help regarding the 300zx, it coukd be for help in any matter, doesnt have to be only for help either, coulr be someone liked something they did on a car or a joke they posted, I think it creates community spirit, if someone gets rep for doing something good then they will continue to do so

 

As fir trader feedback, it can get ugly very quickly with the forum becoming a place for slanging matches, ive seen it on other forums and it can be a nightmare that quickly gets out of hand

but rep is given for crap, not advice on subjects. ive seen people say have rep for that and thought what the hell??

I can see your point about the club spirit though, a new comer might be misled? tough call that one..

 

As for traders, you cant say anything as its liabelous, but when traders dont reply, keep your money, sell crap products you are stuck and then its a personal transaction..

 

Let me put it another way, its false advertising by the club so you are still liabelous.

after being let down several times im starting to get a little frustrated and would like to know which traders are good to buy from and others to avoid.. I will always support the club where I can, but I still work hard for my money and want a decent service if I procure from somebody whether on here or elsewhere..

This probably would be a good solution for traders and buyers as Harby300 said........ If a trader has a 2nd bar for 'trading Rep' and only added to by people who buy from them.... Or a more Amazon approach and leave 'feedback' for a trader on their trading section?

You could rate them out of 10, leave a comment about how quickly posted, value for money and helpfulness???

I think this would be an advantage to the traders.... If they are as I have found, helpful, reliable, honest and post quickly.... they get thanks for that so others can see it.... Maybe attracting more sales for them and stop posts about bad communication, missing parts / money, etc.... I know the official traders will agree reputation means a lot.....

A simple feedback form would do that you can type into showing item, comments and ratings out of 10 for delivery and as described???

I must say every single item I have bought or been sent as a gift has been sent quickly and reasonably priced....And every single person I have dealt with or has helped me has been absolutely top notch..... This is why I would rather buy from on this forum than fleabay...

You coulr leave feedback, they have their own trading section where you can post your feelings, but no one ever does, but what we dont want is wars on the forum, its a very dodgy area to go into as we are not a trading site, we just allow you to advertise and sell or buy at your own risk, we do try our best to resolve things thiugh

I think Harby does have a good point. You see loads of nice things said about traders but next to none or the poorer stories. I think a reputation is really important but I think it works 2 ways.

 

It could be worth the committee giving thought to a trading points score sort of thing. Then maybe keep the comments down so that there's not a claim for what someone has said about them kind of thing

Rep points are their to show how popular you are :p
