it depends on if you have the neutral switch connected and I'm not sure if the engine also has relevance, I know the auto turbos are different but not sure about the cams.

If the neutral switch is connected and working 15 deg tdc (at 80c engine temp)

If the neutral switch is not connected or not working 25 deg tdc (at 80c engine temp)

Both of those values above need to be varified using a strobe light whilst also checking with a ConZult or something similar, in both cases the diagnostic value should be the same as the strobe light value.

The neutral switch is not connected and conzult says 25 will be checking it with a light though

Ok then the timing needs to be set at 25 deg by a timing light and you will have it correct then.

I always thought that you set it at 15 with a timing light but conzult would read it as 25

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

I always understood it to be that Conzult displayed the timing it was looking for and that you then had to confirm this at the pulley by way of using a strobe.

That way you would use the cas to set the strobe/pulley readings to match the Conzult.

I think that connecting/disconnecting the neutral determines the figure conzult will be looking for (ie 15/25 deg's) and then the strobe is used to match the pulley reading.
