I was thinking... and *yes* I am gonna do it anyway even if it's billy no mates (apart from the missus who is up for it) ..... but is anyone else up for a weekend meet so we can cruise (errm I mean crawl) through the Blackpool illuminations this autumn?

 

My idea is if anyone wants to make a weekend of it we all book a Saturday night at one of the bigger hotels (that has a carpark!) The rest who just want to make an evening of it come up late afternoon and join the convoy.... and given some dry weather we cruise the illumnations both ways targas off (and heaters on most likely)

 

Then later we hit the town and go to the Motown and Soul club near North Pier (or whatever floats your boat)

 

Just asking around right now to see if anyone else wants to do this....... then hopefull I can get some dates organised and something booked

 

Hope I really am not Billy no mates on this one - but my Z will be on the Blackpool fronts whatever lol

We're back from sunny hot spain and ready to finalise the blackpool illuminations run. As mentioned before we booked our accommodation already. If you are wanting to stay one or two nights could you also book in at Blackpool Central Premier Inn and let me have to booking reference so I can get them all together and make sure we have secure parking all together

 

Anyone else (not on the list yet) interested in staying over or just coming for the Saturday night Illuminations run?

 

Looking forward to this, even if it may be a bit cooler than the Costa Del Sol

Yes think steve's nearly there with it,spoke to him Wednesday just glad steve found the leak on the water pump god knows want the out come if he hadn't of noticed this, car has been losing water but didn't notice this myself,hopefully get the car back this week so fingers crossed should make this meet:-).

Just tried booking hotel, its full, looks like we will be day trippers unless I try somewhere else

hmmm well it was 27th August when I found this hotel with suitable parking and I booked my room 1st sept and let everyone know so what can I say folks, other than shoulda booked sooner....

 

But will be nice to see you there. If folks are staying in different hotels we can still all meet up for a night out :pint: :pint:

Yeah Steve showed me that water pump problem and your car is looking good m8. My car is much much better now BTW just a few things left to fix - like they should have been in the first place!

 

But at least now I know exactly where I am with it and what else needs some attention :)

I'm going to Rome 3rd-7th October so will have to finalise everyting in the next couple days, or when I get back

yeah im gonna stop over im gonna stay at the village, dont no if its full weekend yet what i planning for or just 1 of the nights.havent booked yet, just wanna get my feet on uk soil 1st before i start making plans.

the white zed isnt ready and wont be ready i have been in Afghanistan for the last 7 months, so i have something else that i will be taking hopefully. im still here at the minute hoping to be home by the end of the week.

Traffic is typically calmer from north to south, but the hotels you have mentioned so far are at the south end, this isn't a problem, but I think it'll be easier to stick together if we start at the north.....

 

Photo op wise maybe it's worth meetin up in the day for some group pics?

 

The mirror ball would be a good back drop probably.

 

I think the best plan based on you stopping at the hotel opposite b&q (assuming you haven't changed hotels?) is that we meet on B&Q as it's got a huge car park.

Looks like there's going to be a lot of nice 300s in Blackpool that weekend then!

 

I'll see if I can borrow my brothers go pro, maybe we can get some good footage of the cars as there isn't that much on you tube etc is there..... :)

 

My schedule is clear for all of Saturday so we should have plenty of time :)

 

I just wish my exhaust had arrived already!

 

Gonna have to rock the standard system with a hole in on the z33.
