Who on here is running a apexi avcr on the zed?

if you are what settings are you using on them to get the best response?.

i have got mine at .9bar and at 75% duty. im sure this isnt correct tho so would like to see how others are and try them settings.

I know it has a self learn on it but that has its problems as it requires full throttle runs in 3rd and 4gears which both are way past the ban limit for any roads.

so if anyone could put all there settings down it would be good to compare them with.

one last thing too, does your revs match the cluster rev gauge as mine is way off( at tickover 950rpm it reads on screen as around 170rpm for somd reason.

i have it set to 65%. I now need to work out why the rev meter on it isnt reading correctly.

also the gears settings need setting up properly.

hoping someone can help as my avcr wont read the correct rpm value no matter what setting i have tried.

at 1500rpm its being read as around 550rpm.

this is most likely my main running problem for my boost hesitation that occurs around .7bar.

has anyone the knowledge of how to diagnose why it is reading rpm range wrongly?

Hi Davezx, I have one of these which i have not fitted yet and unfortunately cannot help as I am in the motor rebuild stage....I thought I was one of many who had one but seems there are not many users of the Apexi AVCR which is worrying as user/info seems to be limited.

I will be watching this thread as I no doubt will be asking similar questions as well. I will keep an ear out and will share any info with you.

Cheers

I have one out of my last tt, will be putting it back into my current tt when it's finished. Can't remember any setting tho

hi matey I have the avcr in mine but not used the zed for 2 years now

with the AVCR you really do need to set it up right and have all the parameters working before you start playing with the boost as someone here blew there engine with the settings not right about 3 years ago if I remember,

I found all the info on mine from google about setting and also 300zx.org I think have a look there, also there is a us site that was very helpful

sorry for the lack of info but its all I can remember when I set mine up, have fun matey but most of all do be careful with the settings

I've got one on mine which seems ok. I'll have a look when I get to work tomorrow.

What do you want me to check?

AVCR SETTINGS

Boost 1.4

Dty 70%

X in all the LEARN GEAR values

9 in all the F/B SPEED values

10% in all the START DUTY values

SENS.SEL

1.relative1

2.relative2

3.absolute1

4.absolute2

Have got absolutely no idea of what any of that means but the car runs well and seems to keep a nice steady boost according to the graph
