Have a search mate, I've suffered from it for years and there is quite a bit of help and advice in the archives. Sadly, I can't offer you anything as I'm still suffering it. I can sympathize though, it isn't nice.

I suffer insomnia. Not so bad anymore. You do need to try and understand the underlying cause of it though and that means going to visit a sleep clinic. For a temporary reprieve, get your doctor to prescribe you Zopiclone. They're very strong and will knock you out about 15 minutes after taking them. They should not be a long-term cure however, but if you're struggling to operate, then these are amazing. They are addictive though and your body does build up a tolerance to their effects. I took this product when I had sleep issues (I still do, but they're nowhere near as bad). I now only take them on 6+ hours flights as I can't sleep on planes AT ALL and long haul bores the shit out of me (there's only so much TV and sitting in an awkward position that one can cope with). So I usually pop 1 or two an hour after take off and they'll keep me asleep for 6-7 hours which is good enough for me as I'll have crossed the Atlantic and half of America or most of Africa depending on whether I'm going to the US or South Africa....so they're damn good!

Try Melantonin

I was given this for my cluster headaches and it does help get you to sleep...... worked sometimes.....

Problem I have is my headaches are at night, so they wake me up..... been running on 2 - 4 hours a night for 10 years.... makes for some bad mood swings.....

Also tried reflexology and that had me more relaxed.... I even fell asleep during the session....

Sounds mad, but have you tried relaxation cd?

I did find one that helped or even some nice chilled music on low with headphones so there isn't silence and nothing..... I struggle with the anticipation of getting to sleep, the more I try to sleep the more awake I end up....

Listening to chilled background music sort of took my mind off everything....

I must admit the past few months have been bad again, same thing but on here till early hours and then laying in bed staring at ceiling trying not to wake everyone else up.....

Hope it gets better for you soon.....
