I've got a mate visiting me for a weekend in 2weeks who's bringing is Aston Vantage S so we were hoping to go for a long drive to get some decent pics/vids with my Go Pro and generally have a day out (hopefully in the sun) enjoying our cars!

Thing is, I've not lived in Croydon for that long so don't know of any decent roads yet.

Does anyone know of any good driving roads? Any recommendations?

I'd be happy to drive a fair way for something decent and out in the countryside!

Google hasn't been too helpful so far

I personally quite like the M20/A20 from Ashford, past Folkstone and on to Dover......

.....Early on a Sunday morning in the sunshine - when it's empty, with the added interest of a speeding train on HS1 to your left!!!

Good straights - as you'd expect on a m-way; with some nice sweeping bends when you get onto the A20. I've done a couple of early morning runs down there in the last 2 months; to Dover and to Deal for the day.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Cheers for the tip Richard, will check that out. Though Dover might be a bit far for a day trip from Croydon I think. Perhaps part way might be fun.

Also, unfortunately due to timings it's likely to be a Saturday! Terrible planning I know. Will probably just spend the day in traffic! lol
