fitting AFR GAUGE

I have been reading you can connect the afr gauge wiring to the ecu. Will the gauge read of both 02 sensors or just one? Would it be better fitting a 02 sensore on its own just for the gauge ?

I tried to do this I'll find the post and link it to here. People explained which pins are which sensor and how to wire a 3 way switch. I really need a photo with a big arrow as I got scared by the 3 or 4 looms going into my ecu. I think I'll just go into the wire from the sensor.

However, someone said there is a risk of doing this interfering with the signal sent to the ecu so I have put it off for now.

mite be a good idea just to buy a kit with wide band senosor then be on the safe side

I've had a look into this mate. Basically the standard O2 sensors are narrowband so won't give an accurate reading. My friend did this on his Supra and it looks 'skitty' when viewing the gauge.

A wideband setup is the only thing worthwhile to read off a gauge. You'll need to pick a bank and install the wideband with a threaded collar welded into the exhaust. When you do this make sure it's done so the sensor won't be sitting in a puddle of condensation from the exhaust.

I was looking at installing a wideband sensor in each bank and having a switch to swap the reading shown on the gauge. In theory this works but when I contacted AEM who's gauge im going to use they said it will cause the sensor that's not in use to foul. Not sure why it would do this but that's what they said. The other option is to have two sensors and gauges if you want to be able to read both banks.

yes i see the kits tho are very expensive can you recomend a kit ? as you have looked into this. the aem one is a bit to expensive

That's the only one I really looked at to be honest mate as it will work with my AEM EMS. They look good and are easy to read, cheapest I saw was about £150 I think

As long as the sensors are heated, they won't foul. They need to be able to burn off the carbon deposits.
