Sunday Sep 29 sees the FINAL Round of this seasons series.

Its at Brands Hatch.

I know its some time ahead but Im putting it up now so its on the forum.

Will Bob and James both be there????

I hope so but there is Donington first.

Its been a blistering season for them both with painful excursions off track and more than a little mechanical aggro.

Costs have been mounting up at an eye watering rate for both drivers all season.

Lets hope the money and the luck both hold till the end of the season

And for those of you who dont know much about the time Attack series/format.....................

I will be there... and hopefully some southern members too:balloon:

So now Donington is over its just time to bump this thread.

Its the last round of the season.

Today it looks like both drivers will be there .

The drivers and/or me will keep you up to date with any news etc.

So.... with a few days to go I have had informal reports that both cars and drivers are ready...(or nearly)

Both Bob and James will be there on Sat nite in their respective RVs. So the cars are already offloaded and ready for scrutineering .

Jimmer wil be in attendance with James first thing Sunday.

Paul and me will be there too on Sunday morning.

The organizers have a full field of cars for the event with some one off entries(known as one hit wonders)

A full field of cars on a tight and technical track like Brands is going to "interesting" to watch

And probably quite intimidating to drive in:scared:

Pah! you might say ... how hard can it be ... you only need one fast lap!!!:innocent:

The answer is .... Its very hard:yes:

Come along and watch the fun. It will be the last opportunity to see two 300ZX's slogging it out side by side for some time to come.

Remember the pit courtesy bit.... We might have time to talk but dont be offended if we dont cos it can be a bit busy at times. We dont sit round all day chatting:lol:

looking forward to this, mine looks vaguely the right shape now thanks to Jimmer and judicious use of a large hammer!

Why don't we have a club stand there :(

well Motorsport is still in its infancy on 300ZX forum. We do have a small following but probably not enough to warrant a stand.

The other thing to bear in mind is that Bob, me , Paul, James and Jimmer are in the pits all day as are the cars. None of us are very interested in "showing" cars. So we wouldnt be in a position to contribute to any club presence.

As I always say members are welcome to pop along and say Hi. But I have already highlighted the possible limitations on the response you might get. Lunch time is probably the best time

fingers crossed i can make it, just depends on funds at the weekend. its a long way to travel when you only get 25mpg lol

Its a pity you cant get someone to come along with you, thereby sharing the travelling costs

good luck you 2

Thanks Darren, assuming you'll be there?

What time does the track action start? And likely to go on until? Trying to convince the better half we could go to this before a family meal at half 4.

Gives a list of what is going on.

As far a Time Attack is concerned its the usual format which I have explained before....

Morning. Ist session is a warm up . 9.00 ish

Late morning.. Practise.

After lunch. Ist points coring session

Late afternoon. The final session..

Pro classes and Club classes run separate sessions. Bob and James run club class. As does our thread guest Darron Wall.

So four Z sessions

and four VERY fast Pro sessions PLUS all the other events too.

I dont have a precise timetable and these things dont run exactly to the minute anyway.

Contact organizers if you need more info.

HTH

We're on at 10:30, 11:50, 14:45, 16:50

F1 demo 12:35, 14:00
