Does anyone know of any firms in the UK who have the knowledge, hardware and expertise to remap a Mine's ECU?

 

I guess I'm after a co. with rolling road facilities etc?

 

http://www.prospec-ms.co.uk sell the Mine's ECU, but they list abbey motorsport as their garage. Any other offerings?

Tim,the only person I know in the UK that can remap an ECU,is PeterR at SE.

He will be doing mine when I fit Nismo 555s.

I could be wrong here but if you're having an ECU remapped then it doesn't matter what it started out as - Mines, SE, JWT, Nissan. The only difference is the chip.

 

The only exception I know of to this is the UNICHIP which is a complete system with laptop software.

 

However, the Mines COULD be more complex than this - Warren will know ...

no one over here can do this.

The ECU is sealed from the inside and if it is opened in any form it will be destroyed.

Why remap it anyway may i ask?

Well Waz, now correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you meant to be able to remap fueling etc. to match modifiactions?

 

If not, can someone please tell me what changes will have been made to the Mines's ECU over a standard unit?

well you need to find out first of all what mods were on it to start with :D

ie does it have an injector map in it as they did with and with out injectors (i have now found out)

vx-rom is without injectors on the name tag.

 

But youll get a complete refuelled map and removed rev limit.:eek:

 

If you make changes such as exhaust, intake, ect they wont need remapping as the system can learn those (correct me if im wrong)

Boost is optimized for three settings i think.

1.1 bar

1.35 bar

1.5 bar for the VG30DETT depending again on what ECU you got.

 

Short of that as far as i understand you will need to send it back to MINES in Japan who apparently do a remap for free (again i cant confirm this)
