Flywheel

Can anyone tell me what a flywheel looks like.

 

I've found one bit that I think looks like a flywheel. Its bolted to the back of the engine by 8 bolts. It has a further 8 holes outside where the 8 bolts go. It has cogs on the outside. Its 12.5 inches diameter and weighs only 2kg. Is that it or is that something to do with the gearbox ?????

 

Any help appreciated.
