My car currently has the 60k service interval Iridium plugs, been told to change these for colder plugs.

I am no expert so looking for advice from you guys.

Car is a 93 Jap TT.

Converted manual from auto so has standard auto turbos, Zedworld chip, Apexi single filter, ARC intercoolers, boost jets set at 1 bar, Japspeed decats turbo back exhaust.

I'm planning in the future to get a nistune board and get it set up correctly as I'm sure it is over fuelling slightly.

So what plugs should I run?

BKR7EIX if you want to stay with Iridiums. BKR7E for coppers.

In your opinion mate, what's the better option of the two?

I only do around 1500 miles a year so they won't need changed very often?

Iridiums last longer & cost more initially. Coppers wear out and cost a bit more in the long run. Iridiums are a thin-wire precious metal plug, coppers have a large centre electrode which I prefer due to the type of driving I do which includes dyno time & drag racing.

If you're only doing 1500 miles a year, I can't see any point at all in choosing iridiums, though.

Final thing, do you guys regap the plugs for the Zed?

Can't speak for anyone else, but myself: Coppers, yes. Iridiums/platinums, no.
