I was watching it thinking iv driven on that road but iv never been to hartfordshire then I was looking at another car forum im on and they were talking about it to

Definately no peaks or valleys in Hertfordshire, guess its a rouse to stop drivers turning up for sprints etc with the associated carnage!!!

A done deal with the local council I suspect... However good to know where it is now though, will give it a go next time I'm north of the border, as hor top gear, definately on the slide!.

i live in hertfordshire and NO WAY!!!

he mentioned letchworth that is just up the road from were i am and they was not there

the episode were they grew crop was filmed very close to me though

And on that bombshell its.time they ended the series or really start and think of something new

 nice!

Why on top gear tonight do the say they are testing the Ferrari in hartfordshire when they are in Pitlochry in Scotland?

It was deliberate.....

.....The sketch started with JC reading a letter saying something about why do they road test Ferraris and the like, when one cannot use them under normal road conditions. Hence he lied and said "We took the car to Hertfordshire, which is just 40 miles outside London......" As if to say, here you are, you can use these cars. Tongue in cheek mate...

Richard:laugh:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Top gear has been the slide for years now , it's all challenges and stupidity ....it's us the tv license payer that forking out to watch them bash ten brand new Suzuki swifts in a winter sports ice hockey match , etc etc....worth the repair bill we forked out ....don't think so

Maybe mate..... But the sad thing is, it is still one of the best wastes of licence payers' money!! And that says a lot for the other programmes aired at the moment....

Think this weeks looked even more staged than usual. With the dukes of hazzard stunts in the taxi race and them running blokes jumping through glass. Etc.

gotta agree. I miss the challenges where stuff genuinely went wrong, rather than them staging everything. taxi's - rubbish, bbc centre thing - rubbish, and had nothing to do with anything!?!

bring back the days of pure smoking supercars, super saloons, super hatches, and the odd quality challenge. North Pole was the best challenge, and also the US/Bolivia specials too. Its losing touch with us petrol heads and turning into nothing but a dodgy staged comedy :( and I love Top Gear... even got to go to the show once when they made limo's for the music awards.

Top gear need to have a 'retro road test' every week, that would be good! Obviously started with the Z32...
