I've been to see a beautiful zx today, but there are some things about it that are worrying me.

There is juddering when braking, the discs & pads look ok, could there be a problem with the abs?

There is also a slight vibration when driving the car, it doesn't seem to be caused by the road surface.

Also, there is a sort of buzzing noise which seems to be coming from the cam belt area which is relative to the engine speed, the belt has been changed quite recently, but the owner said the noise has always been there..., I havn't heard it on other zx's!

I would be very grateful for anybody's advice, :)

Juddering under braking is likely to be either the front tension rods (£120 ea + fitting) or warped front discs.

The vibes when driving is likely to be either the prop support bearing (£150 + fitting) and/or the rear gearbox support (£50 + fitting)

Dunno about the buzzing though ....

It's had a lot of work done to the auto box,(I saw the bills!) I would have thought they might have done them at the same time?

poss a bearing noise from one of the ancillaries/cam belt pulleys, if its the latter its gonna be damn expensive if it fails completly

also, cam belts can "sing" if overtensioned

There was 1 other thing, the oil pressure guage was showing very low, is this a common thing?
