jap to uk seatbelt upgrade

Has anyone done any guides for this.

I wanted to move the front seatbelts to the pillar but i can find the lower anchor point? :no:

    I have done this. (its not strictly a jap to uk thing...all Japs after 92 had seatbelts on the Pillars).

     

    Lower anchor point should be there, behind carpet. Upper point is the problem, You need to weld in a threaded plate behind it. I used a FIA regulation harness mounting plate that I cut down to fit inside the narrow b-pillar space.

    Its missing the thicker reinforced section that should be there. Just putting a nut behind the thin sheet metal would be risky. The fia harness mounting plates are basically just steel plate with a welded on nut, but it allows the load to be spread better. You just need to cut down the sides enough for it to fit inside the panel.
