Raising the Dornier 17

Just thought I'd share my bit of Fartherly pride :biggrin: ... My 19 year old Daughter has just left for Ramsgate to play a part in unloading the German Dornier 17 that is just being raised of the kent coast. The plane will then be loaded and transported to the RAF Museum Conservation Centre where she works as an apprentice aircraft technician.

    Great news Onslow your daughter is very lucky to work on such old and rare planes.

     

    Shes a busy girl Gary, she is currently working on 1 of the 2 remaining Wellington bombers and is project manager on a Hanley Page Hamden....livin the dream eh :)
