My understanding is:

Low beam H3c (Jap Spec)

Main Beam H1 (All Spec)

 

Why does my car look like H4 in the Main Beam?

 

My Car: (Jap Import)

Ignore what each and every guide says mate - they all get it wrong!!

 

Main beam on a Z32 is H1, no messing!!

 

Dipped is H3 on a UK spec and H3C on a J-spec - although the basic pattern of both is the same, the difference is the earth wire on the UK spec H3.

.....it looks like someone has modified your main beams to H4 fitment...:confused:

The confusion is the H1 bulb fits into an adapter that has an extra leg so it looks like a H4. Once removed from the headlight you can see how the bulb and adapter come apart.
