Boost controller problems.

hi all need help with my boost controller. it says warning on the display and the gauge is illuminated in red. it used to be blue. is that a separate warning or fualty wiring causing it to change color? i have no clue how it works or if its even working at all. jeff said it was an old unit and i would like to have it replaced.

jeff also said that because its an old unit the afc was used to bypass the ecu pre chipping days. so would i just need to get it remapped? chipped? and drop the afc. i found this on the net but it looks like a pregnecy test kit!!
