Firstly the FMIC pipework was rusty and horrible looking due to weathering, this has now been addressed:

 

 

The rear calipers were badly painted red so have now been painted the same colour (or as close as possible) to the D2's on the front.

 

 

And finally the exhausts given a proper clean...

Nice little touches, I don't have towing hooks, they wont fit because of the angle of my exhausts, as I was going to buy some from Andy Isherwoods car at last years JAE :thumbdown:.

Looks well especially the exhaust what a difference it makes.

Nice touches with sorting the rear brake calipers and the intercooler pipes out mate! I'm glad to see she's being looked after :)

 

I've still got those odds and sods to send to you, I found some other bits of paperwork the other day to do with the brakes. I will try and post tomorrow (only 4 months late I know :) )

I had to go a bit more hardcore, and started with:

 

1500 grade wet and dry

2500 grade wet and dry

Autosol metal polish

3M fast cut compound

 

You have to keep going up the grades getting finer and finer else you'll end up with a swirly mess! Took around 40 minutes per box to get them to this finish.

Great effort considering the rust that was on them!
