G'day folks from Aussie land.

It has been a VERY long time since I was last here. I haven't been visiting forums much in the last couple of years, but starting to browse again. I apologize in advance if you frequent 300ZXclub, aus300zx, or tt.net as you've probably read/seen this already.

Towards the end of last year a very rare 300ZX popped up for sale on the other side of the country. A 200o model, arctic white, twin turbo, 5 speed, version S, slicktop. Sadly it wasn't in original trim & the condition wasn't perfect. That said, I couldn't pass up the opportunity of owning such a rare 300ZX.

This is how she after being delivered via truck, train & boat. Already had a Stillen front, Bomex wing & 17" ADVAN wheels.

The drivers side B-pillar had been damaged and repaired poorly. After a bit of searching I've discovered the vents are from a Nissan GTI-R.

During the last few months I've been paying attention to the cosmetics. I had the B-pillar repaired properly, new windscreen cowls, weather molds, headlights, also had a paintless dent removalest pay me a visit. Also fitted a larger radiator, Ganador mirrors & fitted some Tein Flex coilovers. I changed out the steering wheel for a Momo, replaced broken clips/switches, removed the aftermarket 3rd brake light and removed the clear tint film from the rear window (b!tch of a job). Lastly a full detail, claybar, polish & wax. She is starting to look the part now.

Sadly there wasn't enough room at my current residence to keep both the Z's, so the 2+2 was sold earlier this year.

I also have a fully rebuilt engine to drop in. I'm hoping to make 550bhp. Currently lots of headaches/f*#kups slowing down the swap.

So that is where I am currently at. I do need to get my ar$e in gear and get some decent pictures.

Very nice ! If I had the opportunity, a 2000 TT Slicktop would be my ideal choice, and it looks stunning in Artic white (I have a bit of a thing for Bright white cars lately).

I've been following this on the Oz site, very cool car. I love the 2+2 you sold as well, thats an extremely good looking car:thumbup1:

Very nice. Personally not keen on the ugly Stillen front though, it doesn't even appear to fit very well.

Very nice slicktop I have a 1991 jdm tt manual slicktop and I've noticed a few diffrences no hicas solenoid no digital climate control also my expansion tank and filler neck is on passenger side of engine bay .

Yeah, lovely car .

You're always going to get folk finding items not to their own liking even on the ultimate spec/year, personally I would of kept stock mirrors and the airbag steering wheel .

Stunning car buddy, love your old one too

Whats the spec on the new engine?

Yeah, all TT's after 94 have Electronic hicas instead of Hydraulic, so no hydraulic solenoid. Thats the Windscreen filler you can see in the picture. Expansion bottle is still on Passenger side.

Ok thanks for info my windscreen filler is in the back under where the hatch sits .

Thanks all. I would have preferred the stock steering wheel, as well as the stock front bumper. But sadly both had been replaced prior to my purchase. This car is no where near as neat as my 2+2 was/is. But I am slowly but surely doing what I can to restore her to showroom condition (or close to).

I don't plan to baby this car either. I bought it with the intention of doing track days which will upset some people. But cars are for driving and enjoying, not locking away and admiring (though I still admire it every time I look at it haha).
