Hi Guys

I have mentioned this before (also chatted it with Jeff @ Zedworld last time we met as he is REO for midlands and he is happy for me to post this event here)

They have this big classic car show every year in Trentham Gardens Stoke-On-Trent with around 1200 cars and 5000 visitors

Date: 16 June 2013-16 June 2013 Times: 10.00am - 5.00pm

Car Information: Twenty two super years at this great venue which offers over 1200 vehicle entries, 50 Club Stands, Autojumble and Trade - with the beautiful backdrop of the now fully refurbished Trentham Park and Italian Gardens. Over 5,000 visitors enjoy this great day out every year.

Event Description: Set in the beautiful backdrop of the now fully refurbished Trentham Park and Italian Gardens.

Location: Trentham Gardens on A34 near Stoke

Area: Staffordshire

Region: North West

Postcode:ST4 8AX

I had a quick chat today with the show organisers - they would be happy for any of our Zeds to attend

And it is cheap!

Entry is £3.50 per car for driver and up to three passengers (it costs you far more than that just to visit Trentham Gardens normally!)

This gives full access to Trentham Gardens which is actually quite a nice place for a family day out! http://www.trentham.co.uk/trentham-gardens

If any wives and gf's who wan't to go out into the 'craft village' they can get a pass out

We could either book in individual passes - I will be going anyway - or if we want a group stand (all cars into their own group are parked together and we can put up club banners etc) then we need at least six cars and we book them in as a group, all the passes go to the club organiser who redistributes them to the individual members attendind

The organisers close entries 3 weeks before the event, so ther is some time to organise

The organisers are www. transtarpromotions.com They also have several more shows around the midlands but trentham is the largest they tell me

So come on guys, what do you think? It's a cheap family day in nice surroundings with plenty to do - and a good chance to promote our cars and the club

Sure, no problem with putting it back 30 mins. Exhibitors need to arrive before 10:30am it just says to arive early to avoid queues

We could arrange to drive en masse to the show at 9:30am - it's about 10 mins drive

OK if there are no further comments we will go for the slightly later meet time and drive to the show at 9:30am giving those who have to travel from further away chance to get a breakfast without getting out of bed before the streets have been aired

So feel free to arrive at the meet point any time before 9:30

As I suggested previously, I now have got a draft for a flyer we can hand out at the show. Actually a friend of mine (hopefully future Z owner too) made the draft of these leaflets and he grabbed some specs from wikipedia and elsewhere - so I don't think they are totally correct. Also I trust these leaflets are OK with the two site banners on them?

Now would someone kindly give me more accurate specs so I can change these before photo copying and maybe a BHP for each car type?

See attached scan

Also I have scanned the T&C leaflet I was sent by Transtar Promotions - one for each pass. I don't think there is anything important that I did not already mention but see attached anyway

Just thought id point out....that "370" isn't. its a photograph of one of the prototype 380 designs. Also 0-60 for our car is closer to 5.5, in fact at the time one of the glossy's managed to get a time of 5.2! just thought id point these bits out. looks good though mate, and I really applaud your efforts in getting this event going with the club. have some rep.

Cheers

I'm all for making the flyer look 'positive' so can change the 0-60 for the 300zx to 5.2

OK I'll need another 370Z pic then (and I am informed on zclub.net that the 280ZX pic is also wrong)

Specs are what was found on wikipedia and elsewhere, I would appreciate all corrections - I guess I will run the photocopies later this week so time yet to change things

Also BHP and approx values I would like to add for each model if someone can supply me the relevant info

I know it's not all about performance but I just want to make these look interesting to casual vistors without over cluttering them

Cheers for the rep m8 :thumbup1:

@blackpool

You can see on the scanned T&C they expect exhibitors to stay until 4.30pm though I doubt you are actually 'held hostage' until then

Plaques and awards are judged throughout the day and announced at 4:30

Oh I also roped in a mate to shoot some video when we drive our convoy to the show - we have to pass through the tunnel on the A50 trunk Road at Meir and he will video the cars as they go through as it is two lanes wide we could drive side by side. This is also a good opportunity to ermmm 'demonstrate' the abilities of your exhaust system lol if you go through in a low gear! :innocent:

Rich

I wont know my BHP until the next day when I'm meeting Noz but expect around 450.

And value well it stands me about 10k but would expect pretty much what I paid for it 3 1/2 years ago and that's somewhere around £5,500.

Thankyou :clap::clap:, to save me reading the whole thread what time do I need to be there?...excited :)

Event address is Trentham Gardens, Stoke On Trent ST4 8LG

For those wishing to meet up and drive in convoy to the show I propose we meet at the Weathervane at Meir Stoke-On-Trent

Address: Lysander Road, Meir, Stoke-On-Trent, ST3 7WA http://www.hungryhorse.co.uk/index.p...stoke-on-trent

The pub is open from 8am serving breakfast and is very easy to find, it is directly off the A50 trunk road about 1/2 a mile from the Meir Tunnel.

Also there is a McDonalds directly opposite the Weathervane for those who prefer fast food, parking is pretty good plus there is a Tesco Petrol Station serving up 99 octane if anyone needs to top up so I think it ticks all the boxes!

The Weathervane is about 4 miles from the show venue

I will distribute passes on the day and then we can all drive to the show at 9:30am

For anyone wishing to arrive individually please let me know and I will post your passes out to you beforehand

In either case the last admission time for exhibitors is 10:30am. Anyone arriving individually will still be directed to the club stand.

The exhibitors entrance is next to the Poachers Cottage Resturant on the A34, a few hundred yards from the main entrance to Trentham Gardens, which will be clearly signposted on the day

Dogs are allowed on the show site and in the Gardens as long as they are kept on a lead.

The pass covers two adults and two children under 16yrs

I think that is all the relevant stuff for you

Performance numbers etc grab the attention of the people which gets them interested so I think its a great idea bud. this picture might help you with the different zed models. Its not the clearest, and I've got plans where that's concerned. Anyways....

Hi there guys i'm gutted i have to go into work on Sunday for tram frequency testing i do not know how long i am going to be.

So i will not be going sorry to everyone.:no::no:

That's a shame. If you get off early ish you could still come in the afternoon maybe? We can all bimble out to the car park to see your car!!

I will try, but testing down one of new lines that's just opened with some other companies involved so i have not got a clue what time i'm going to finish. if its early enough i will come down but i will have to wait and see.

Hi guys everyone ready for tomorrow? What time are we meeting then? Hopefully the weather will be ok for us:-) car is all cleaned and polished, just suffering with a slight misfire and uneven tick over, but you know these cars always something:(will be taking it steady I think.
