Hi guys, well Another year, and another JAE,

 

So information for you all.

 

This year the location is the same apart from one change. the area is slightly smaller, but not by much, last year we had a square area where most of us ended up pitching tents (Square G3 in the image below). we no longer have that area. this not only keeps the area more Square, saves a bit of club funds but also will make us use more of the space available to us.

 

Anyway, for those who came last year, you will know where we are. but for those new this year and hoping to attend. its mainly right by the main gate to the event. but far enough away not to be that bothered by the coming and going of cars.

 

Map of location below, entrance is the the right of the image. (looks a small area on this map, but is very large, about 50 cars worth, we had 36 last year, with new members and a few more cars back on the road, lets see if we can break that number)

Would be nice if we can get some representation this year, although we did win our last 5 a side, mainly by default as the opposing team were too scared to join in lol

 

And also the JAE tunnel run. that raised cash in 2011 for the Japanese Tsunami Appeal and last year was the Macmillan Cancer Care. This year’s chosen charity is the London Air Ambulance.

 

More details on time table of events for the weekend will be published the moment JAE update their website with the information.

 

I hope we have a decent turn out this year like that of last year, ill bring my projector again, but this time we will have console with driving games or other games available, get a bigger marquee booked, we have the same generator this year as that's already been prebooked (did that when i took the keyback last year lol) so we can have quite a few things running on it.

 

Same rules as last year though, as a club we like to set a good standard, so noise down around 11pm (we are closer to public houses than most clubs) no excessive engine revving past this time. no glass bottles, plastic containers for alcohol or cans please.

 

as for food, not going to bother with sausages this year, will get something else to in replacement, but as the lamb burgers went down a treat, i think a few more of them instead of the beef ones.

 

If anyone else has any more idea's to make this year a decent one, more than welcome to say.

 

I have 3, 4 man tents so if anyone needs a tent, just ask away, but ill be having at least one lol

We want to go with the Z but don't fancy staying in a tent as the camper is much more comfy and warm.... sadly there doesnt seem to be much info about using a camper anywhere. (its a non jap camper).

If the camper is non jap they wont let it in but there is a big park just outside or you could stick a Nissan badge on it. :yes:

Thats a shame... guess we wont be there then really..... its a bit too obiously chevy to get away with a nissan badge lol.

Sadly wont be able to make it this year as the other half has to have an operation on the friday 13th Sept, then 6 weeks to recover. She told me to go to JAE, but i know from past experience, thats womans speak for please dont go and look after me or i will never forgive you lol.

 

Gutted i cant be there, so i expect lots of photos posted to see what ive missed.

Im gutted too mate, its my time away from it all being with a load of like minded people, zedheads lol. And so looking forward to seeing some of the mods you guys have done on your cars over the year.
