ok got a sound like someone blowing a blade of grass between there fingers when i hit high boost with in the cabin, not sure what on earth it is and has only started happening since i change the clutch / flywheel / exhaust.

 

Id of said it sounded similar to OEM dump valve goose honk, but i do not have OEM recircs on the car? i have z1 dump valves.

Boost leak. They can make random noises. Have a look on YouTube to jivee you an idea

Undid the throttle body pipes and also the intercooler pipes to allow the engine to rock back when taking the gearbox off, guess what i forgot to do back up.

Holy crap, the car is even more of a beast then i realized. now i do not have a slipping clutch or boost leak, pulled 21PSI on the boost gauge, which is a hell of a lot more than the 18psi i was getting before the clutch went. scarily quick, think ill be taking the boost controller off of high setting for now.

 

Might get it back on the dyno see if it can match the 457bhp from 2009, rather than the 424.6 i got when i first got the car. certainly feels more powerful.

I've just bought a BMW 325ti compact and the clutch has gone on that. Cannot wait to get it done s I can go for a proper blast :)

Lol its a cracking car, really nice and smooth to drive and the engine sound amazing. Oh yeah the zed will be soon. All the paint is here now :wink:

Got 2 of them now, today I filled my 330d up with petrol, managed to get to tesco car park, stripped the car down got all the petrol out cleaned all the pipes,got 3 giffy cans of diesel put it in cranked the car over about 10 times then she started, drove for about 2hrs and all good touch wood. No damage :-)

 

Was the little girls 2nd birthday today and we were meant to go to the zoo, instead she was in a car park, bless her she has been amazing today

 

Oh yeah AA wanted £280 to do the job so I told them to f off lo
