Poxy foxes

Just dropped the hubby off at work and on my way back was driving along when all of a sudden i spotted a fox crawling across the road, obviously it had already been hit and was dragging itself off the road but it was too late tried swerving but didnt have enough time and hit it :(

Didn't know what to worry about more guilt of running the poor thing over or if i'd damaged the car, got nearer home and could hear some noise coming from the front so checked it out and its the plastic guard on the underside of the wing/wheel arch, its only being held on by a wire (which is where you guys come in) its coming from the fog light so am i right in thinking its an earth wire????

There is still a bit of bracket there i think so until i get a new plastic bit and bolt it on, can i just bolt the wire to this bracket for earthing??

Knew i should of stayed in bed this morning :(
