yeah, i found a japanese biscuit thing under the seat today while cleaning, ill see if i can scan the wrapper in so u can tell me what it is :)

Hehe, funny you should mentioned that Clarkey - cleaning out my Z a while back I found some sort of weird japanese chewy sweet under the drivers seat! Extremely soft and gooey, but thankfully still wrapped up nice and tight :)

yeah, how about the mines website?

What are you trying to identify, Graham? I can't speak Japanese but I have got a J-Spec car.

Gio..... I didn't get any kind of manual with the car so I've got no idea what light means what.

I havn't got any warning lights on (yet), but I wouldn't know what they meant if I had.

"Forewarned is forearmed".....or something like that!

OK - unfortunately I don't have a scanner so I can't show you the pages from the Owner's Manual.

But you can still get them from Nissan (at least, 3 years ago!). The publication bits on the back of mine say

Z32-A

Printing: October 1998 (17)

Publication No. OM4E-0Z32G1

This was for the Europe / Australian models so missed out some stuff. But it was good fun to sit in the car going through the manual with a pen crossing off the bits I did have and adding the bits I didn't. From memory, the only warning light I didn't get was the catalyst overheat which looks like a big tube with three vertical wavy lines above it.

The rest of the lights are pretty much standard. I think. Ish.

After a hellish journey of 7 hours yesterday my Zed is lighting a new light at me. Anything that glows red worries me and this particulrly as I don't know what it is!

I think it's the same light Gio mentions here...

It's between the handbrake light and door open light on the dash.

What's wrong with my Zed????

And more importantly - how do I fix it?

Prompt responses will save nail-biting and would be much appreciated!!

Cheers,

Chris

ps - also my LIGHTS light comes on when I brake or turn the lights on since my rear lights got converted to round ones. Looks like a bloody christmas tree!

if anyone is able to translate all the gobbildy-gook on my visor, and buried under the armrest lid - i would be much obliged.

I confess here and now that i actually considered going into local chippie and asking them if they wouldn't mind coming out and having a go - but thought better of it - what if they were chinese and were offended:confused:

Any help appreciated

It probably says something along the lines of:- Don't stick yer head out of the window when the cars moving. Don't stand on the centre arm console or it'll break....and also something typically Japanese and enigmatic like...'Preserve Nature' or 'Salute to the free wind of behind':D :D (all stuff that appears on Japanese bike equipment)
