  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Your wooden ramps put mine to shame Joel!

So I think I have to revamp my ones!

R u sure ur targa drain pipe hasn't come adrift?

As u know the pipe runs down the inner side window trim.

This is the tricky bit ! the rubber u bend that goes out by the wing.

You can't see it! But the targa drain pipe can shrink & come away.

Jeff did a thread on it & mine did that & I had to get extra pipe to fix it.

thanks, i will be checking them again, but when i put water down it before, it came out of the pipe behind the indicator.

unless it is leaking AND allowing water past. i will remove more stuff this time to investigate

and success the lower steering u joint is off ... shame the weather has gone to shit now

Nice hard backed book turned up for the 300ZX memorabilia collection.

It's by Manuel Vigliani and is in the Automobilia series published in Italy in '91. There are 96 pages with lots of high quality

pictures of a red Euro spec together with many technical drawings and pictures (mostly taken from the marketing brochures

produced by Nissan). The book's text is in Italian together with English and French translations.

I too bought one of these new and i'd forgotten what i had used on mine so i have just checked, do not use the top one that are used on the radio console they go in too far and split the plastic, i used much shorter ones, they have a 6mm philips head and they work a treat - i'm not sure which are used from the factory Tom :cool3:.

I'm not sure on the physical size but the factory fitted screws are shown in this writeup - type (a):

Good job you said that, I thought it might have been the radio ones.

Thanks Andrew. That's a big help. Got a box full of interior screws so should have the right ones.

Ditto, just looked through and i'm amazed i only have one, many very similar so i am sticking with what i have used.

Like yourself I was frightened to death of spoiling them again, although i didn't damage mine in the first place.

Ive got 3 spare light pods & they've all got broken screw holes where the hazard switch screws in.
