  • We did a video earlier this week, the Z hasn't been out the garage since July 2020. So happy for this, this is miles away from professional video, and the guy who helped me with the drone and editing,

Today nothing, but I did take the Zed out for a little drive the other day - and stopped for a couple of pics. Any excuse 😉

She's home, if only she knew what was coming. We found out the hard way that there was no power steering

Ah, the relief of hitting 120mph and still feeling the power ready to come on

It's official, the test drive was faultless!

Done some wiring repairs whilst I was at it and water proofed a couple of connections.

I'm so very pleased to announce that nostrils is back to full health again at least for now

Thanks for all your help and support guys, it's appreciated.

I finally replaced the left side windscreen trim......

.....And then gave the Zed a good wash, plus a coat of Valet Pro Classic Gloss Protection wax. Hell, the car was pretty dirty after a week touring Dartmoor, but it's now back to its shiny blueness once again....

800 miles covered and everything in order, as it should be....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

So I wired up my OEM taillights today to the OEM loom (thanks Phutumsch and Paul for those) everything is working apart from the passenger side sidelight.. Which gets a small amount of power through circuit testing but not enough to power the bulb? Any thoughts?

Also have a spare connector that gets power when the sidelights are on, thought it may be a booster of sorts?

Sounds like you've got a bad earth on the passenger side mate, try giving the connector for the passenger side a clean and tighten the pin for the earth by using a small screw driver to close the gap in the connector to tighten the grip on the pin..

There's also a small control box in the driver side rear just next to where the aerial fits in. These boxes can sometimes have a bad connection which can cause issues..

Fairly sure Andy the phutumsch will be able to pin pint it for you as he's a guru on the lights in these cars but those are the points I would check first if it were me.

Good luck

Today I made a start removing the tailgate skin than was fitted to my spare slicktop when I bought it.

A nice surprise under it.... NON rusty metal.

Some of the square holes to fit the perspex strip pegs are not drilled but that can be fixed.

Trial fitted srip without them.

I also got the horseshoe style 95 OEM spoiler out of the loft so I can get that fitted.

Will put tailgate skin up for sale if anyone wants it.

Are you referring to this box? Because it has a strong connection in, and a weak leaving it (for the passenger side) with a strong in and strong out for driver side

Took mine for a spin yesterday and I was very happy when she started doing this:

Yep, the clock was working, the hapiness didn't last long because after 5 minutes another light came on , the Hicas light. Power steering fel away too. Started her this morning and everything was fine again. Anyone have an idea? There is enough fluid in the PS.
