after a bit of advice of where do i stand.

I had bid on a decent set of new grooved / drilled front disks for a 300zx tt, the seller is a very active ebayer with a score over 19k.

Starting bid was 99p, i bid £2, next day another guy bids £4, as i want the disks i go to £30.

Was watching it upto 20 mins before end of auction, no other bidders or watchers, all of a sudden i get a message saying the seller has removed the item for no longer available,

???? then all of a sudden the exact same item is re listed as a new listing. again with a starting price of 99p no reserve.

are they allowed to do this, at no point does it state in their add its listed eleswhere.

sounds like they didnt get the price they wanted so pulled the sale and re started.

any ideas

It's annoying, but also up to a seller whether or not they wish to end an item for sale for any reason they wish (they get 4 options IIRC, no longer for sale, error in listing etc). Well within eBay rules. You can also end an item early to the highest bidder.

sellers obviously advertising them wrong if he's not getting the money he wants for them. but i'm a firm believer ebay or not anyone who owns something ie a ten bedroom mansion or a packet of chewy, they still have the right 2sell it for what they believe its worth.

I partly agree with you, but unfortunetely that seller is using an auction site where items are sold to the highest bidder. He has the option to put a reserve on the item which will ensure it doesnt sell below that amount. That is the choice he took. Ebay sellers like him need a good kicking.

I'd report him mate, clearly taking the pass and is as bad as shilling, which is also annoying.

haha, aw well it should be a free listing w'end this one so hopefully the seller uses is noggin and puts a correct starting price on the item 2stop all the confusion

Shilling is against eBay rules, ending an auction early is not though.

That to me seems exactly how it is and nothing you can do. Strange though as a lot like myself do bid in the last 5 mins if not 5 secs and it is up to the seller to keep their cool.

I also don't like it when the seller puts 'I reserve the right to end this auction as the item is listed elsewhere', you do enter into a 'contract' however laughable that is with ebay but the seller with this statement is wanting the best of both worlds to me :mad2:.

I think they do this quite a lot, start low and end it if they don't get the price they want. Seen it a lot with discs brakes for the zed, also decat pipes, not sure if its the same company doing it each time but shouldn't be allowed.

funny that they also sell decat pipes, intercoolers and exhaust's plus other bits for the zeds and other high end jap cars.

But i must add this seller is NOT a trader on here.

I've had the same thing done to me, was winning brake discs sub£40.

Then withdrawn before the end of the auction, I'm quite certain it's the same seller.

If you search 2fast2cool2 there is a lot of references of them linked with japspeed also there was another seller just 2fast2cool not sure where he has gone .
