Yesterday i let my brother drive my zed for the first time to take it to his garage to swap it for his Cortina.

Only to find out that while he was sat at the junction 5 mins away from his garage a :censored: corsa has slammed into the back end and wrote my car off :censored::censored:

the only plus side is the corsa was in a much worse way then the zed

hold on? we have cyberbean's brother who also had his zed written off yesterday by a corsa, so unless he has 2 brothers, something doesnt add up .

any pictures?

That's the same one lol, his turn to rant

It was owned by my little brother, Ratboy, but was being driven at the time by our older brother.

I am hoping to go up on monday and get my things out of it

I originaly wanted the NA for the gearbox etc for a TT conversion but i dont think that will happen

hoping to get a TT all depends on how much the insurance pays out

will try and get some pictures though

you can keep the rear lights if you break it mate..

on a serious note, everyones ok I hope! Quite a bump. Hope you get sorted soon.

p.s. u best buy it back, I want the drivers door rubber, looks mint! and i need one! :P :)

Yep, that's a goner :( Gutted for you mate. That corsa must have been travelling some to do that damage.

geez man what speed was he doing as hes bent the chassis hence the side panels buckled in glad your ok m8 and if u can buy it back

you would all ways make some £££ back on it for parts alone

Bit of filler and it will be fine :whistling:

On a serious note, glad your ok, that's the main thing.

The Corsa driver was was convinced that he was only doing 45 apparently!!

Ive just to wait and see what the insurance have to say about buying it back i know of someone who has more knowledge and tools who is interested in buying it

The Corsa was doing 45 at time of impact, but the Zed was stationary at a junction??

Was it dark? Was it a junction on a blind corner? Was the Corsa driven by Ray Charles...?? I'd love to know how they justify doing 45mph a car length from a junction!!

I'd be gutted if this was my car... to echo others' sentiments, at least the Zed's occupants are safe and sound - that's the really important thing.

It was a long straight bit of road no corners. He must have been shaving or eating a yogurt, I have seen people doing both while driving!

Will keep you posted if it get broken. At the moment my mate that is doing my turbo swap and manual conversion is keen to buy the whole car to use for parts on his drifter. So he may have extra parts that he doesn't need.

We won't brake it ourselves as we don't have the time or space to do it.

Should be able to buy it back for penuts, I bought my one back for about 200. Spose it saves the insurance company having to dispose of it

Would be interested in a few bit

So got the offer form the insurance company, They offered £2k for it which was ok going as I brought it for £1k and sold it to my brother for £800.

After some haggling and showing the guy that the only two for sale on autotrader were both going for £3k, my brother managed to get them upto £2700 was a good result and got it brought back for £200.

The whole car has been sold to another mate of mine, so don't expect a braking thread but maybe to odd bit might pop up.

My brother is happy and now waiting for the cheque to arrive so that he can start shopping for a TT!
