Maybe a daft question but whats peoples thoughts on changing the thermostat form something like a nismo that opens earlier than a standard thermostat.

 

my thinking is they run hot these cars so this should help?? or is my logic screwed?

Nismo one opens too early, ok for a track car as it can start cooling earlier, but in the winter, the car won't get up to the right temperature

On their own they're more trouble than good, but on a modified car that is set up correctly (remapped warm up routine etc) then they work as intended.
