how can you be so sure theres no rot? if its bubbled, its bubbled for a reason. has the paint lifted and bilstered or is it surface rust?

Agreed, I recently addressed a light bubble, turned out be a lot worse than I imagined once I started delving.

It was a nightmare!

you can bet whatever is behind that bubble will need chopping out! i had a bubble the size of a 1p on my rear arch. you dont wanna see how much they cut/ground out!

Wheel arch corrossion can be likened to one of these.

Short repairs can can be done ( chips away style ) but unless all of the problem is cut out then it will come back sooner than you think, no short cuts unfortunately, having had our tame welder / painter repaired scores of them it is often much worse than it looks, the sooner you deal with it the less costly it will be.
