dual maf

I have a spare maf and plug sitting in my shed, was thinking bout making a diy dual intake. Would i be able to splice the spare plug in2 the one thats there? Would this work?

not that straight forward, you'll need an AFC or SELIN to combine the signals from both

I was reading up bout the selin system alright was just thinkin couldnt be as easy as just splicing wires, would i be able 2 run the two mafs 1 as a dummy?

nope cuz you will have Half un-metered air in the system and engine will not run correctly

on the other hand i have the Selin Dual Maf Translator for sale

check in the for sale page

you can run one as a dummy, however you then need to change your ecu so it doubles it up for you. Also you can get idle issues as the IACV only feeds from one side

Ah i get u now looks like the selin kit be the handy option, the pennys wont go that far at the moment tho

I'm running a single MAF with dual intakes. The idle issues can be resolved by having the IACV connected to both LHS & RHS turbo outlet pipes. Kits can be bought, I will be making one up myself, naturally :)

Plus, as already stated, you need an ECU programmed to suit the new set up.

Although it is commonly stated you don't need to go to a dual intake set up until 500bhp, it really does help the turbos spool up and the engine breathe easier. Removes a lot of restriction.
