New TV advice and recommendations needed

Two of the televisions in the house need replacing so I need some advice on what to get and some questions answered as im out of touch with this sort of thing.

 

Looking to get a pair of 24" tv's with built in free view receivers. Currently there is a single aerial powering the non sky tv's via booster/splitter box.

 

1. What can we actually receive with this? Im wondering if a tv with a HD free view receiver will work with a normal co-ax signal?

2. aerial and dish use the same cables right?

3. Can anyone recommend a decent 24" tv, i've been reading reviews and there seems to be all sorts of issues like slow to operate and navigate tv guides, very poor picture quality when not used with a dish (artifacts on screen) etc

4. Finally can you recommend any good sites to buy online please.
