tt zed modification help !!! 400bhp is it ? isnt it ?

Just a little bit of advice with regards to my newly accuired zed , these are the mods

Custom single airflow meter and air filters

Stainless steel cat replacement pipes

Large single intercooler

Chipped

Electronic boost control and gauge

Now does this sound like it could be putting out 400bhp as previous owner stated ?

And to be honest i dont know alot about adjusting the boost etc.. and at the minute the boost gauge isnt connected and and i hear that insurance companies dont like it am i best just not using it ?

Sorry to sound a **** but im not great with mechanics ;)

I wouldn't have thought so, you'd need a few more mods to hit the 400 mark. It's probably between 320 -380bhp with those mods. I'm sure our tuning wizards will be able to give better advice :)

Ummm really , so out of the mods ere will extra power be coming from ? Are you talking with or without boost wound up there mate ?

Right ok so wat is standard boost and what is a safe boost for me to run ??

standard 9 safe 7 max 14 is that`s what you want to know ? :)

Thanks mate, will be intouch soon for a spoiler to :) would you ever do a one off for someone by the way??

Nah it not worth the time of effort for the costs

First of all you need to get the boost gauge plumbed in that way you will know how much boost your running, once you know that it will give you a better idea, the exhaust and filter will be adding a little extra but as the gauge isn't working you don't no what boost its actually running at, plus without it working for all you know it could be running to much boost or hardly any

Depends solely on the mapping programmed onto the chip as to what boost you can run safely.

This, put a boost gauge on and go to a dyno for a power run to check it all out

Custom single airflow meter and air filters? WTF!! It's like that from the factory
