Evening all

 

Dont know what to do... An unfortunate change in my personal circumstances has resulted in me having to try and reduce outgoings as much as possible...

 

I don't want to have to sell my Zed already - I know I've only had it about 6 months - but I think needs must... :crying:

 

I'm paying £100 a month to keep it garaged, and then on top of that there will be tax, insurance, petrol costs and all the rest of the usual stuff. It's currently not taxed but was going to re-tax it in March for 6 months.

 

It's a 1993 Manual TT lwb - Jap spec import. Pictures of it and a rough description are in the garage section - there are also a few other parts that I have bought and haven't fitted yet. Had about 600 quid spent on it since I bought it including about £400 of it at Zedworld...

 

I just don't know if I can justify keeping it when I should probably be spending my money on other things that will help keep a roof over my head and work coming in.

 

What do you reckon I should do? If I need to sell what sort of price would you deem suitable (hoping for about £2k?) :sad:

A house is more important mate. Its only a car and there will always be another zed for sale when things pick up. You soon get use to another car and saving money is great , I love my little pug

gotta agree, as hard as it may be, living is more important....is there no one you know close with a drive you can put it on?

100£ a month ? even in london garages are cheaper

Yeah £100 per month, I know I get robbed but there is nowhere else nearby I can keep it...

 

Area I live is full of kids and if I leave it anywhere not undercover and locked it gets scratched/fingerprints/handprints etc all over it

Shame you dont live closer or we could of arranged to park it up at mine for ya.

Appreciate the offer mate but just all other costs that go with it at the moment I just dont think I can justify...

 

Found out today that the company I work for may not be around any longer come March so really dont want to sell up but may have to :(

Like Carmad said its just a car and it can be replaced later when things pick up. Good luck in what ever you decide to do:clover:

Do you think I'm optimistic in asking for about 2k for my zed? Ideally thats what I'd be after, previous owner wanted over 2k plus I've spent money on it since I got it...

2k sounds fair for a good nick TT, but things really aren't selling at the mo. good luck with whatever u decide mate :)

Securicar just sold his and I think now we are now into the New Year its starting to pick up.

Good luck with the sale, I'm in a similar boat where I have to store it outside and I don't want it turning into a shitheap before my very eyes purely as its out in all elements. Thought I would let someone else enjoy her and when I get a bigger garage can buy it back :-)

Bling (Dan) is looking for a Zed... maybe have a word... at least it will stay with the forum... and he might even sell it back to you later..

its so sad bud mines outside all the time got vandalised last year along with my partners navara

they are a expensive car to keep /look after i dont even lay mine up for winter

I don't leave mine out on my street overnight as I know it would be vandalised. The amount of mystery dents and scratches on my little pug is shocking! It's also been egged and had two tyres done!

I have had mine up for 1100 with know takers in the last 3 months so good luck
