I tried a packet of colmans rich beef casserole today and was surprised by how nice it tasted!

I wouldn't normally use a mix as I prefer making my own but this was really easy. It bakes/steams in a roasting bag. All you do is chuck the beef, an onion, some carrot, 150ml of water and 2 tbls of oil, into the bag tie it off and cook it for 1hr15mins.

It cooks the beef as well as a slow cooked one and has a really good depth of flavour, my only complaint was that it needed more gravy! I'll chuck in 200ml of water next time.

:)

I don't need a packet. I use real ingredients like butter & flour and red wine & thyme & shin of beef & shallots & mushrooms & I'm heading to Tesco for the ingredients yummmm!!

Add a splash of Balsamic Viniger as well, gives a lovely depth to the gravy :)
