ford focus blower heater

bit of a long shot but dont suppose anyone has a fan/heater blower lying about, just went to have a look why mine wasnt working only to find it hasnt got one lol

 

£68 quid is a bit much for a new one considering i only paid £470 for the car lol, maybe some kind folk on here may have one lying about, the cheaper the better lol

its the mk1 focus mate and yeah the interior fan that sits under the glovebox, ive got a resistor as that was gone aswell lol

 

any freebies would be great lol

 

some on ebay for £28 delivered but as said the cheaper the better lol

Have you checked if you have a heater control valve Allan?

 

If its anything like the fiesta then those broke all the time, one of the fiestas I bought in the past had two pipes and jubilee clips instead of an hcv. I guess the idea was at least he could get hot air when needed to clear the screen instead of having the broken unit stuck on cold. On fiesta it was located under the trim piece at the wypers on the outside of widscreen.

Removed the valve, took out the gubbins and re-fitted !

Roasty all the time !

 

She went to China in the February, so wasnt a ball ache at summer !

there isnt actually a blower in there, its missing lol, the resistor and blower are gone, its a common fault on them so probably stolen when at the auctions which is where i bought the car from

Aye I know, what I was suggesting is you might fit the replacement only to find you are ALSO missing a heater control valve :smartass:
