Just laud off..... Great start to the New year.............

Due to recent goverment changes & sudden cuts to the funding of cavity wall & loft insulation schemes i've just been laid off along with 100 other staff :thumbdown::cursing:

 

Wouldnt mind soo much if it wasnt for the fact i got told yesterday that due to the current cuts they would be laying off 64 of us. However they would be keeping the best of us to tied us over till the new Goverment 'Green Deal' kicks in & have enough funding & work to carry us over & "my job was safe" (should think so after 5 years of service & dedication + training god knows how many others for them FOC)

 

Get a phone call halfway through the day "drop tools & go home everyone is out of job due to immediate withdrawal of additional goverment funding!"

So, anyone in the Northamptonshire area that knows of any work available, i am available & i WILL literally do anything for money......(queue the gags & offers lol ;-)

 

Sorry for the rant just had to get it off my chest.....

    I'm sorry to hear your bad news mate and I hope 2013 picks up for very soon.

     

    On another note though, there are statutory procedures that companies must follow when making redundancies - especially for those doing it en-masse - so your former emplyers could be on shaky ground if they have not complied with their legal obligations.

    Thanks guys :-) Have already got the fealers out & hopefully wont be too long till i'm workin again ;-)

     

    On the plus side it gave me some time to work on the car today .... will be posting some pics of my twisted suspension & the work ahead of me soon....
