As most of you know, i work as a plumber for a housing association, some of my other things i get involved in clearing houses for work for one reason of another.

After 7 days of people doing a runner anything left in the house is classed a rubbish, previous threads have shown that i have found such things as a Breitling navtimer watch, penn international big game reel and other stuff.

But have had 3 things sitting around for a few weeks, that i thought sod it chuck em on ebay and if i get a couple of quid then cool.

All items put on ebay with no reserve starting at 99p with the auctions ending today.

Antique match holder, found in a fallen down shed at the bottom of a box, bit rusty, cast iron sold for £99.

Remains of a 1/8 scale rc thunder tiger car, found whilst clearing a house, chatted to mark derby (on here) not worth repairing, sold as spares not working sold £49.

set of 6 big game lures with hooks, found same house as big game reel sold for £63.

£211 thats not at all bad,

Now my zeds need £150 of welding and she will back on the road.

might change my name to magpie...............

Nice going there Stu.....!!

I remember you posting about the Breitling a while back - did you keep or sell it in the end mate?

Richard:sorcerer:

nope kept that one,

I acquired a garage full of random gear the other year, which included a £1k+ Spanish guitar in the most amazing condition possible, 10x £900 leather conference chairs, a conference hearing aid kit which I shipped off to Oz for £400, a drumkit (£90), an old-school projector & some films (£300 to Ireland), a £5k kiln, a grand's worth of studio gear & musical instruments and a grand's worth of office equipment/furniture.

In a similar acquisition I ended up with a 15t press (£250) and about £1k's worth of tools and Audi gear (inc. a 2.4 V6 engine & box).

People can be in a real hurry to 'do one' sometimes. Suits me just fine :D
