I'm trying to download the latest Nvidia Geforce drivers but the download gets to 99% and hangs. I managed to download it once but it gives me an archive error.

I've tried both Firefox and IE but the results are the same.

Can someone try this for me please, it's 280MB so it's a fair size.

Just trying to find out if it's just me having the problem, I can't find anything about on their forum.

Cheers

Clear your temp folder, you have a corrupt file in there.

Sorted, cheers bud. This a common thing with the download folder then?

nope, windows is just lazy, when you download a file and it completes, and then you redownload the same file from the same source, its supposed to check in the temporary folder to see if the file exists, if it does, it doesnt bother downloading the file again, what you see with the progress bar, is windows copying the file from the temp folder to the download location, and saving time / bandwidth.

How ever, sometimes things go wrong, and if the file is corrupt, it doesnt matter how many times you down load it, it will remain corrupt (as all its technically doing is just copying the same file). Windows fails to delete the file upon install as well, hence why its always best to manually delete the temporary folder to gain some space back.
