Hi Guys and Girls,

Perhaps with the wealth of knowledge on here we could get a definitive list of mods. I know some are going to be personal choices, but it could cut down a lot of seraching and head scratching as to the best mods.

This is what i would like to do when funds allow, and then perhaps some of you could point out any alterations they would make.

Here goes:-

Lightened flywheel JUN

ACT clutch

Dual Superflow Air Filter

JWT chip for dual setup

Traction Control

555 injectors

BBS wheels + Yokohama Tyres

Greddy Intercoolers

APEC AVCR boost controller

KYB AGX shox

EIBACH springs

POLY bushes

BREMBO brakes

Greenstuff pads

ZTOYZ leather interior

BORDER or AB FLUG bodykit

Dont know about the IRIDIUM plugs are they that much better than the standard ones.

So any errors in my ways, or a suggested change???

Leigh.

Looks alright to me mate, I'm a Blitz man meself but nothing wrong with anything you put on the list...IMHO!!! wink.gif

SE chip is my only change, out did the JWT at a recent rolling road day! LOL biggrin.gif

Me

P.S. and yes I did spot that Leigh put JWT for twin setup! LMAO biggrin.gif

I thought the SE wouldnt work with dual set up, or do they have that sussed now?

Leigh

TIm,

Hows yours since its been back from SE??

Going well I hope after the national debt has been ploughed into it.

Leigh

Personally I'd add an underdrive pulley too, but that's personal preference for sure (we've all read the wars about those on TTnet!).. Especially having just taken off my stock one - that thing weighs a *ton*...

Also, IMHO, the 'harmonic dampner' is only a torsional dampner, not a harmonic one... but that's just IMHO..

You will also need

Bigger turbos (t25/t28 min) Stock compressor wheels loose efficency at 17psi.. you can push at least 19 with that setup.

AFC + Breather kit - I will eat my hat if you manage to keep the Fuel delivery of that car properly tuned without going to a Dyno every weekend

I also hope you have or plan to get big ass tyres to put that power to the floor !

Enjoy the tuning.

p.s Dont worry i too only have a humble JWT chip but not too worry you could be stuck with a MINES one wink.gif wink.gif Runs for cover smile.gif

Yep your right that is a personal choice the UR pulley.

Wouldnt touch one if you paid me. Read the info, against, and Steve E had vibrations at high RPM, hes removed his now.

Leigh

Nico,

Do you have the dual air filter set up with the JWT??

Leigh.

Yep, you're right mate...OK I'll elaborate further then. SE chip with Blitz Induction kit...oh he's so shiney and just waiting for a FOOKIN' CAR TO GO ON!!! ARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!

Sorry mate, lost it there for a sec. biggrin.gif

Engine has been fine since SE, well for 1433 miles anyway wink.gif

Just gearbox now, rear seal where the prop enters the box...ohhh errrrr Mrs...and fit that annoying ATF tube back onto the bell end housing!!! SORTED! wink.gif

Then the real fun will commence in goody fitting time...hee hee heeeeee!

MINES? Buy a lifetimes supply of Octane Booster then! wink.gif

What about some forged pocketed pistons with total seal rings, and some high lift cams?? Im sure someone sells these things for the zx.

You can get 'em, SE do forged pistons but Johnny would be the main man for them I suspect! Especially with the price of the bloody things wink.gif

Does anyone know which intake (barring the dual pop) flows most air/produces most power?

I know that the Blitz one produces more power than the JWT and I've heard the apexi one is quite good, but does anyone have any test results to show various power outputs of various kits?

Cheers,

Brian

Brian the BLITZ!,I will see if I can dig the test out for you wink.gif

has anyone thought of approaching a uk company to have the pistons made jun pistons are made for them by a uk maker

I am looking at the twin Air filter set up, is this a test to show which is best of these??

I currently have a green foam single air filter, which I believe is the HKS filter??

the one I thought of having is the Blitz dual set up.

Leigh

?

APEXi filter is a barn stormer, according to testing, and also provides the best level of filtration.

I went for the Blitz Steel mesh jobby which by all accounts is the worst for filtration...but who gives a shite? LMAO biggrin.gif

After asking Phuong about this he said that 99.9 percent of particles that make it to the combustion chambers will ignite and burn up on ignition!

Stillen claim, I say "claim" by the way, 20 bhp increase up from standard.

Personal preference I reckon, which is why I didn't want to mix and match.

Blitz Realize Cat Back zorst with Blitz SUS intake...LARGE!!! wink.gif
