How heavily tuned is your car mate?

If it's relatively stock, then I'd not bother with a second hand Brembo set-up as you don't know how hard a life it has had on the previous car. The stock 300zx brakes are actually very good when working properly; so I'd go for a caliper refurb (or buy newly refurbed parts on an exchange basis) with new OEM replacement Brembo front discs and pads from Ebay.

Unless your ZX is heavily tuned or regularly used on a track, that's all the money you need spend to get brakes that function very well indeed.
